How To Install CWM TWRP and Root Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime SM-G610F
If you want to customize your Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime SM-G610F, you will need to install a custom recovery and root your device. A custom recovery is a software that replaces the stock recovery of your device and allows you to perform advanced operations such as flashing custom ROMs, kernels, mods, backups, etc. CWM and TWRP are two of the most popular custom recoveries for Android devices.
In this article, we will show you how to install CWM TWRP and root your Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime SM-G610F using the following steps:
Download the required files from the links below and save them on your computer.
Enable USB debugging and OEM unlocking on your device by going to Settings > Developer options. If you don't see Developer options, go to Settings > About phone and tap on Build number seven times.
Install Samsung USB drivers on your computer if you haven't already.
Power off your device and boot it into download mode by pressing and holding Volume Down + Home + Power buttons together for a few seconds. When you see a warning screen, press Volume Up to continue.
Connect your device to your computer using a USB cable and launch Odin on your computer.
In Odin, click on AP and select the TWRP file that you downloaded earlier. Make sure that only Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time are checked in the options tab.
Click on Start and wait for Odin to flash TWRP on your device. Once it is done, you will see a PASS message on Odin and your device will reboot automatically.
Disconnect your device from your computer and power it off again. Then boot it into recovery mode by pressing and holding Volume Up + Home + Power buttons together for a few seconds.
In TWRP, swipe to allow modifications and then go to Wipe > Format Data. Type yes to confirm and wipe the data partition.
Go back to the main menu of TWRP and tap on Reboot > Recovery. This will reboot your device into TWRP again.
Connect your device to your computer again and copy the SuperSU file that you downloaded earlier to the internal storage of your device.
Go back to the main menu of TWRP and tap on Install. Navigate to the SuperSU file and swipe to flash it. This will root your device.
Once it is done, tap on Reboot System. Your device will reboot normally with CWM TWRP and root access.
Congratulations! You have successfully installed CWM TWRP and rooted your Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime SM-G610F. You can now enjoy the benefits of customizing your device with various ROMs, kernels, mods, etc. However, be careful with what you flash and always make backups before doing so.
